About Citizens Advice Isle of Wight

Free, confidential advice for everyone on the Isle of Wight

Citizens Advice Isle of Wight is an independent local charity that helps people find the information and support they need to solve problems and plan for the future.

We’re part of the national Citizens Advice network, but our team, trustees and volunteers all live and work here on the Island.

Every year we help thousands of people through our advice line, outreach sessions and community partnerships; offering practical guidance on everything from benefits and debt to housing, work, and family issues.

Our purpose

We’re here to make sure everyone on the Isle of Wight can get free, impartial advice when they need it most.

We help people understand their rights and options, improve their situation, and influence positive change across the community.

How we help

  • Advice and support: Free, confidential guidance on benefits, debt, housing, employment, and more.

  • Specialist projects: Focused help for people facing extra challenges – for example with energy costs, crisis support or financial hardship.

  • Community partnerships: Working with local councils and other charities to connect people to the right services.

Our people

Citizens Advice Isle of Wight is powered by a team of trained staff and dedicated volunteers who give their time to help others.

Our advisers listen without judgment and treat every client with respect, compassion and understanding.

Our promise

We are:

  • Free – there’s no charge for any of our services

  • Confidential – your information stays private

  • Impartial – we don’t judge, and we don’t take sides

  • Independent – we’re a registered local charity

Together, we’re here to help people across the Isle of Wight find a way forward.
